Crippled, but courageous.

Remember the days when the endorphin rush was still a familiar sensation? When our joints were not a sore point…? For us twenty-somethings, that’s now a distant memory.

Who knew this would have happened so early? Ok, perhaps bungee jumping wasn’t a good idea, but you’d hardly think a push bike accident could change your life so drastically. Now we  have a swollen spinal disk and a chronically inflamed knee joint between us.

Yes, we feel sorry for ourselves. Judge away.

We used to meet at 5am and go bike riding before work, just for fun. Now we live in different cities, and neither of us do much exercise at all. Auckland is grey and depressing at times and Melbourne is so uber-posh, that it doesn’t really inspire exercise. Anyway, it’s kind of hard when your body is broken and there’s no one to spur you on.

It’s time for a change.

Welcome to our cross-Tasman exercise support initiative ‘Joint Exercise’. Together, we will motivate each other to exercise our cripples joints and find fitness from afar.
